Inventec aims to ship 65-70 million devices of various types in 2015, increasing 30-40% on year, the company said at a March 24 investors conference.

The proportion of total shipments for product lines other than notebooks and desktops is expected to rise from 20-25% in 2014 to at least 40% in 2015, Inventec said.

Inventec currently has a handset factory in eastern China with monthly production capacity of four million units, and is setting up a second to meet smartphone orders from Xiaomi Technology, Inventec indicated. The second factory, with a monthly capacity of four million units, will start production in May 2015, Inventec said. In addition, Inventec will begin to set up a factory in India in the second or third quarter of 2015, Inventec noted.
