A new Surface tablet is in the works without Windows RT, WinBeta reports. The tablet will reportedly be a successor to the Surface 2 since the Surface 3 Pro was launched without an accompanying Surface 3 in 2014. WinBeta claims the new Surface is coming before or at the Microsoft Build conference next month.
The main point of interest with this tablet is that it is said to be using a full version of Windows, not Windows RT like the other Surface tablets. That also means an upgrade to Windows 10 should be available later this year. WinBeta reports the tablet is fanless, nearly silent, and uses an Intel Atom or Core M processor. |
