The commercial TV market in China is expected to reach 3.35 million units in 2015, up 3.4% on year, according to statistics from AVC.

The market reached 3.243 million in 2014, up 0.8% on year. The market in 2015 will be valued at around CNY6.4 billion (US$1.03 billion) and is expected to see approximately 5% growth throughout 2017-2018, the firm said.

In terms of sales by area in China during 2015, hotel and real estate, business and government will account for 43.3%, 40.1% and 16.6%, with the business segment growing 4.8% on year.

Most of the products shipped during 2015 have been for 32-, 40- and 42-inch units but are expected to shift to 40- to 48-inch TVs due to declining prices.

Many vendors are also seeing increased demand for TVs to develop smart concepts in the city planning, nursing home and medical industries throughout 2015, the firm noted.
