ZTE has officially introduced its flagship smartphone today alongside another mid-range phone. The Nubia Z9 Max is the flagship smartphone that we've heard about lately, which will try to compete with the tough competition from Xiaomi, Apple, Samsung and others.

The Nubia Z9 Max features an aluminum body that houses a 5.5-inch 1080p display protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Inside the device is Snapdragon 810 SoC with 3 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 16 GB of expandable storage and a 2,900 mAh battery. There is a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel front camera.

The company also unveiled the Nubia Z9 Mini that comes with the same aluminum body, but has a smaller 5-inch 1080p display. Since it is aimed at mid-range segment, it sports a Snapdragon 615 SoC backed by 2 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. In terms of imaging, it has the same cameras.

Both smartphones will come with Android 5.0 Lollipop with Nubia UI 2.8 on top. The Nubia Z9 Max is priced at 2,499 CNY (around $330), while the Nubia Z9 Mini 1,499 CNY (around $250).
