The trade-in program at Apple is expanding beyond iPhones. Apple has begun accepting BlackBerry, Windows, and Android handsets. As of March 30, Apple stores in North America and Europe are accepting non-iPhones. European trade-ins are only working in France, Germany, and the UK for the time being.
Store credit for the phones will work with iPhone 5c, 6, and 6 Plus purchases. Apple Watch purchases will not work with the store credit. Apple is soon launching a trade-in program in China but that'll be limited to iPhones.
Trade-ins at Apple stores generally net less for consumers than alternative trade-in programs or selling the phones. |
