The Leap smartphone from BlackBerry is first launching in the UK and it will be available for £199. BlackBerry's handset is entirely touch-based and the company is aiming it at "young power professionals." The device has launched on the BlackBerry online store and will begin shipping to customers on April 24.

Customers can get the Leap with a contract through Vodafone or they can get the handset without a SIM from Clove, Unlocked Mobiles, or Mobile Phones Direct.

The Leap has a 5-inch HD display, 1.5 GHz Qualcomm processor, 2 GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 2,800 mAh battery.
