China-based IC design house Fuzhou Rockchip Electronics is exhibiting smartphones and tablets equipped with Intel processors, and Chromebooks developed through cooperation with Google at the 2015 Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) taking place during April 13-16.
Because of Rockchip's long development in the supply chain of Shenzhen, China, both Intel and Google have established partnerships with the chip supplier, hoping its tight relationships with China-based component suppliers and experience in chip R&D can help them achieve breakthroughs in China.
Several notebook brand vendors have also started adopting Rockchip's solutions for their Chromebooks including Asustek Computer's Chromebook C021 and Chromebook Flip, Haier's Chromebook 11 and 11E and Hisense's Chromebook C11. |
