Production of the Apple Watch is not going terribly well. Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst, says there are production issues with components for the recently introduce smartwatch. The Apple Watch will not be released until later this month. Kuo says the issues are with the watch's haptic vibrator and OLED display.

There are production issues with the new haptic vibrator because it is smaller and more advanced than the one in the iPhone. LG has also had trouble with the device's flexible displays.

Kuo claims there have been 2.3 million Apple Watch preorders and those will be filled by Apple by the end of next month. As much as 85% of those orders are for the Apple Watch Sport, the cheapest model.
