Sony will release its super-thin 4K television in the United States this summer. Preorders are now being accepted for the larger HDR-ready TVs and there are six models to choose from. Deliveries will start in May. Sony's X900C, the thinnest LED TV ever, is coming later in the summer and its price has not been revealed.

Other models in the line cost between $1,299.99 and $7,999.99. The cheapest model is 42-inches while the most expensive TV is 75-inches. Each model is paired with Android TV and they have "Vanishing Edge" technology which makes the picture fill the entire display.
The super-thin X900C is just 5.08 mm, which is thinner than most smartphones. Some of these TVs will gain their HDR feature in a software update this summer. |
