Xiaomi is gearing up to launch a cheaper variant of its flagship Mi 4 smartphone. The company is holding an event in New Delhi on April 23, where it should unveil a "Global Mi Phone." The latest rumours reveal that the "Global Mi Phone" is the Xiaomi Mi 4i.

The Mi 4i is expected to arrive with a plastic construction alongside lowered specs, which will result in a price around CNY1,300 ($210 or €200). The phone will allegedly have a 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 615, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP selfie shooter. Other specs include a dual-SIM and LTE support.
