The outdated Lumia 930 could finally get a successor as Microsoft is rumoured to be working on a new smartphone. The smartphone should be called Lumia 940 and is expected to pack high-end innards and could finally be a phone that many WP fans were expecting.

The Lumia 940 is rumoured to feature a 5.2-inch display, a flagship octa-core processor and at least 2 GB of RAM. The camera department will also see huge improvements, as the rear camera will have 24 or 25 MP sensor and the front will sport a 5 or an 8 MP sensor.

Other specs include native pen support, iris scanning capabilities and 3D-like interactions, and of course Windows 10. The announcement date is unknown, but Microsoft could announce it as early as April 29 at the BUILD conference.
