Sony has increased its full-year profit expectations due to stronger video game and image sensor sales. The company's smartphone business is not doing well and Sony is riding on its other divisions. This is the second time Sony has raised its profit outlook for the financial year ending March 31.

It is expected Sony will report $569 million in operating profit. Sony had previously been predicting $167 million in profit. Net loss will also be down this year, falling to $1 billion from the previously expected $1.4 billion.

One of the strongest divisions at Sony will be Game & Network Services. Its image sensor business is doing very well since Sony's sensors are used in phones like the Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6.
