Xiaomi Technology is expected to introduce its new Xiaomi 4i smartphone at a product presentation to be held in India on April 23. The Xiaomi 4i is powered by a Qualcomm 64-bit 1.65GHz 8-core processor, running Android 5.0.2.

Although the hardware specifications of the Xiaomi 4i are not as high as those of the Xiaomi 4, the price/performance ratio remains strong, according industry sources.

India is currently the second largest market for Xiaomi, trailing after only China.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi has indicated that it plans to introduce the Xiaomi 4i into Taiwan in May at the earliest.
