Xiaomi officially announced the Mi 4i handset today. Xiaomi's new Android Smartphone was unveiled at a media event held in New Delhi, India. The Mi 4i has been introduced as a colorful, more affordable version of the Xiaomi Mi 4 flagship. It comes with a polycarbonate unibody, loses the Snapdragon 801 processor for a 64-bit chip, and bumps the battery size to just over 3100mAh.

Xiaomi Mi 4i full specs:

5-inch Full HD (1920x1080) Sharp/JDI display

2nd generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset

2GB RAM

16GB internal storage

13MP f/2.0 rear camera with dual-tone flash

5MP f/1.8 front camera

3210mAh battery

The Xiaomi Mi 4i lacks a microSD card slot. The 2nd generation Snapdragon 615 chip brings better performance. It's got two quad-core Cortex A53 clusters, one clocked at 1.7GHz and the other clocked at 1.1GHz.

Xiaomi claims that the Mi 4i is 12% thinner and 13% lighter than the Mi 4. Its exact dimensions are 138.1x69.6x7.8mm, and weighs 130 grams. But the bit that makes the Mi 4i a winner is its pricing.

The Xiaomi Mi 4i will be sold in India exclusively via Flipkart. Its price in India is Rs. 12,999 (only $205). The Mi 4i launches on April 30th on Flipkart, while registrations start from 8MP tonight.
