The much anticipated bezel-less flagship ZTE smartphone has finally arrived. ZTE has officially announced Nubia Z9 today in Beijing and a lot of previous rumours are true. Looking at the specifications, the smartphone is a real beast and will be tough to beat.

ZTE Nubia Z9 will be available in 3 versions and all of them share the same glass and alloy body with a 2.5D glass display, which measures a 5.2-inch and has 1080p resolution. They also share the same chipset - Snapdragon 810, a 2,900 mAh battery, an 8-megapixel front and a 16-megapixel rear camera that supports OIS.

In terms of connectivity, there is Bluetooth 4.1, MHL 3.0 and NFC. The smartphone runs the latest version of Nubia UI 3.0, which comes with rich camera features including NeoVision 5.1 for near SLR performance.

So what are the differences between models? The "Classic" model comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage and is priced at CNY 3,499. The "Elite" comes with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB storage and costs CNY 3,999. The latest, the "Exclusive" edition has 4 GB RAM, 64 GB of storage and TIO, and is available for CNY 4,499. When we convert that to dollars, that is $560, $640 and $725, respectively.

The TIO is the company's new fingerprint scanner and it should incorporate sensors on both the power key and volume rockers, so either of the buttons can unlock the device.
