Samsung's Gear A is a round smartwatch. It was announced in early 2015 that the watch wouldn't be released until it was perfect and that has resulted in a delay. Samsung never publicly said when the Gear A would be available but SamMobile reports the company intended to launch it in the first half of 2015.

Due to delays, the Gear A is now expected to come in the second half of the year. Samsung will now launch the new smartwatch with the Galaxy Note 5 at IFA. It's not known why the Gear A is delayed.

Samsung has previously launched smartwatches alongside phones, giving some credence to this report.
