Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Tab S2 tablets are rumored to be just 5.4 mm thick. The tablets will be available with 8 and 9.7-inch screens. Leaked information about the two tablets reveals they'll be all-metal and thinner than the 6.1 mm Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet which is the thinnest tablet. Samsung introduced the first-generation of S tablets in June 2014 and an announcement for this generation could come next month.

The earlier S tablets were 8.4 and 10.5-inches. Samsung is making them smaller and slimming them down a bit. It's been reported the resolution used on the tablets could be 2048 x 1536 instead of 2560 x 1600. The displays would still be Super AMOLED.

Samsung will include a new 64-bit Exynos processor, 3 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal storage with the tablets.
