Asustek Computer recorded net EPS of NT$4.96 (US$0.157) for the first quarter of 2015, its lowest quarterly level since the second quarter of 2012, the company said at a May 12 investors conference.
Decreased shipments of notebooks and tablets as well as foreign exchange losses of NT$349 million were the main causes of the decline, Asustek said.
Of first-quarter 2015 consolidated revenues, 67% came from PC product lines, 16% from smartphones and tablets, 14% from components and 3% from Internet of Things (IoT) services and products. Asia accounted for 52% of consolidated revenues, Europe 28% and North and Latin Americas together for 20%. |
