Despite confirming that there are no plans on releasing the ZenWatch successor, ASUS might actually announce the ZenWatch 2. The company's CEO Jerry Shen has confirmed that the smartwatch will hit stores in the third quarter of the year, as planned earlier.

The smartwatch was rumoured to arrive sometime in 2016, but looks like ASUS have changed their mind. Jerry Shen has also mentioned that the announcement date will be unveiled Computex Taipei 2015 trade show, which is scheduled for early next month. Details about the smartwatch are unknown at the moment.
