After a dozen of various leaks, teasers and details, Vivo has finally officially announced its new flagship smartphone, the Vivo X5 Pro. Although it can't take on other flagship smartphones such as the Galaxy S6, One M9 and others, it still has something to offer.

It is built around a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display that has a 2.5D glass and a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920. It is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 SoC, which has an octa-core, 2 GB of RAM, a 2,300 mAh battery, a 13 MP rear camera that is protected with sapphire glass and an 8 MP front-facing camera.

The front camera can take pictures interpolated to 32 MP and has a special eye-recognition technology built inside. The phone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Funtouch OS 3.0 on top of it. Other specs include an aluminum chassis, dual SIM support and 4G LTE connectivity. Vivo has yet to announce the phone's availability and price, which should be around $440.
