The ZenFone 2 has done well globally and ASUS will now release the phone in the United States. ASUS says the phone will be available in the US tomorrow and there will be both a $299 and $199 version available. The phone has a 5.5-inch Full HD display and brushed aluminum finish.

Inside of the ZenFone 2 is an Intel 2.3 GHz 64-bit quad-core processor and 4 GB of RAM. ASUS says those specs are enough to make the handset a "powerhouse". There's a 3000 mAh battery in the device and fast charging is possible.

The ZenFone 2 has a 13 megapixel camera capable of creating 52-megapixel photos with a "super resolution mode". An "industry leading" low light mode is available.

Online retailers will sell an unlocked ZenFone 2 and ASUS is not going to sell the phone through carriers.
