A fingerprint scanner is becoming a must have feature for flagship smartphone and is slowly entering into the mid-range segment. Samsung's Galaxy A lineup has a higher mid-range smartphones and according to reports the upcoming Galaxy A8 will have a fingerprint scanner.

The fingerprint scanner will be very similar to the one found on the Galaxy S6/S6 Edge, with touch based. It will be slightly more powerful than the current Galaxy A7 phone, featuring a 5.7-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 3,050 mAh battery, a 5 MP front and a 16 MP rear cameras. This could also be Samsung's slimmest smartphone ever, as it is rumoured to be 5.9 mm thick. Stay tuned for new details!
