The same site that recently claimed Samsung would release the Galaxy Note 5 early, WhoWiredKorea, now says the release will be later. JK Shin, Samsung's mobile chief, responded to the original report and said the July launch date was simply incorrect. Shin didn't give an alternative release timeline but a launch during IFA in September would make sense.

A mid-summer launch date for the phone sounded great. It would have made sense for Samsung to beat Apple's release of the iPhone 6s but Samsung doesn't want to rush the release.

Few details about the Galaxy Note 5 have come out. It may include a superior display relative to the S6 and it may have a superior metal design.
