HTC has been almost in the same situation as Nokia a few years ago, but has managed to pull somehow through that and get on its feet. Unfortunately, the company is still struggling and its latest flagship smartphone, the One M9, doesn't help the company.

Except for the slightly bigger display size, better camera and chipset, the smartphone is basically the same as the original One (M7). On the other hand, HTC's competitions have released completely redesigned flagship smartphones. This has resulted in a lower than expected demand and HTC allegedly plans to cut the component orders of One M9 by as much as 30%.
