Emerging markets have a several smartphones with a $50 price tag, but Mozilla was hopping to be a game changer with its ultra-affordable $25 smartphone that was announced a year ago. Unfortunately, the company's CEO has revealed that is not going to happen.
The reason why is because there wasn't "sufficient traction for a $25 phone," and the company will change its plans from making an ultra-affordable smartphone to providing a better user experience and focusing on quality. The CEO has also said that Firefox OS could get Android app compatibility, but will be only limited to a few key apps. |
