A Chinese news site reports that the Apple iPhone 6s camera reportedly makes use of a 12MP camera sensor from Sony, which nicely falls in place with previous rumors talking about a 12MP camera aboard the iPhone 6.

The report quotes the Japanese media, which says that Apple is switching from traditional RBG sensors to RBGW sensors. Sony's new 12MP RBGW camera sensor is said to offer superior low-light performance, benefitting from the additional White sub-pixel. Autofocus speed is said to increase, but there's no mention of how that would be achieved.

Apple's iPhone 6s will debut alongside the iPhone 6s Plus later this year.
