Shortly after Google announced Android M at I/O 2015, HTC became the first OEM to announce that its flagship Smartphones will be updated to Android M. Jeff Gordon, who works at HTC as the Senior Global Online Communications Manager, confirmed the Android M update for the One M9 and One M9 Plus via Twitter.

For now, HTC has only confirmed the Android M update, which we naturally expected them to do so anyway. A release schedule is not available. But then again, the final release of Android M isn't expected until August this year.

More devices will be announced by HTC soon; HTC is likely to update the One M8, Desire EYE, One M8 Eye, and other handsets to the newest version of Android OS.
