HTC One ME was officially announced last night by the Taiwanese phone maker in China. The One ME is the world's first Smartphone powered by MediaTek's Helio X10 chipset. The Helio X10 is an 64-bit, octa-core mobile SoC with its CPU cores clocked at 2.2GHz.

The HTC One ME has a polycarbonate body, and not a metal one like the One M9. The device is complemented by high-end specs such as a high-resolution display, ample amount of RAM, and a capable rear camera; all the features that you'd expect to find in a 2015 flagship.

HTC One ME specifications:

2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 SoC

5.2-inch Quad HD (2560x1440) display

3GB RAM

32GB internal storage, microSD card slot

20MP rear camera, UHD video capture

4MP UltraPixel front camera

HTC BoomSound

Dual SIM

4G LTE support

2840mAh battery

Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense UI

The HTC One ME will be available in three colors - meteor grey, gold sepia, and rose gold. Pricing details are yet to be announced. Also, we can't confirm whether the One ME will ever be launched outside of China. Perhaps a variant of the device, with a different name, would be launched in other parts of the globe.
