The new iOS 9 code also hints towards various other new few features for the front camera, such as 1080p video capture, 720p slo-mo video capture at 240fps, as well as the ability to take panorama shots.

If Apple does include all these features in the upcoming iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, it would result in a drastically improved front camera experience. At present, the iPhone 6 comes with a 1.3MP front-facing module. It works fine, but that's about it.
