New code discovered in iOS 9 hints towards a possibility that we'd never have imagined otherwise. The code clearly hints towards the inclusion of a flash with the front-facing camera. Now that would certainly make selfies on iPhones look better than ever.
The new iOS 9 code also hints towards various other new few features for the front camera, such as 1080p video capture, 720p slo-mo video capture at 240fps, as well as the ability to take panorama shots.
If Apple does include all these features in the upcoming iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, it would result in a drastically improved front camera experience. At present, the iPhone 6 comes with a 1.3MP front-facing module. It works fine, but that's about it. |
