Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5. After several leaks over the course of months, we finally learn the official features of the Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5, and one of their features has left us pleasantly surprised.

Samsung has included a front-facing flash in both the new Galaxy J series handsets. Both phones have a 5MP front-facing selfie camera accompanied by front-facing LED flashes. Also, both the Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 run on Android 5.1 Lollipop with TouchWiz.

The specifications of the Galaxy J7 are somewhat inferior to that of the Galaxy A7, and are closer to the specs of the Galaxy E7. Just as expected, the device is cheaper than the Galaxy A7.

The Galaxy J5 can be thought of as a Galaxy E5 that can take better selfies. That, and it comes with the latest version of Android. FYI, the Galaxy E7 and Galaxy E5 are still stuck at Android 4.4 KitKat.
For now, it seems that the Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 will only be available in China. Perhaps a global launch is going to happen at a later date. Selfie lovers would definitely go for this device, and having the latest version of Android OS running out-of-the-box is just one of the extra goodies. |
