Xiaomi has reached 10 million sales of the Mi 4 smartphone and to celebrate, the company is discounting the phone in India to just $233 for the 16 GB model. The 64 GB variant has also continued to decrease in price over the past few weeks and it has gone from $342 (its launch price) to $311.

In the Indian smartphone market, Xiaomi's phones are priced competitively and that's part of the reason why they are so popular. Xiaomi intends to make the 64 GB Mi 4's price cut permanent while the cheaper 16 GB model will only be around while stocks last.

The Mi 4 includes a 5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 801, 3 GB of RAM, 13 MP camera, and a 3080 mAh battery.
