Despite all of the incredibly high sales estimates that were attached to the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge early on, the phones don't seem to be doing particularly well. Deutsche Bank expects the phones are only going to see 45 million shipments in 2015. Earlier estimates had placed sales between 50 and 70 million for the year.
Samsung's Galaxy S6 is a respectable Android smartphone and Deutsche Bank has called the sales "respectable," but that's not the word Samsung wants attached to its device. 45 million sales would put the S6 on the same level as the S4 from 2 years ago.
The Galaxy S5 did unusually poorly since it saw 40% fewer sales than the S4, so at least Samsung has turned its ship around. |
