ZTE has officially launched Maven and Sonata 2 in the United States, two new budget smartphones. The ZTE Maven is already available from AT&T for $59.99 without any agreement, while the latter is up for grabs from Cricket Wireless for $29.99 with activation.

Although both smartphones are for entry-level, the specifications are still decent. The Sonata 2 sports a 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, a 4-inch 800 x 480 pixels display, 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of expandable storage. The Maven is very similar. It has a 4.5-inch 854 x 480 pixels display, a Snapdragon 400 SoC with a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of expandable memory.
