Sony might have launched Xperia Z3+/Z4 a few weeks ago, but those smartphones are far from flagship we used to see from Sony. Details emerged today, reveal that Sony is actually preparing a real flagship for this year, which could launch as early as this September in Japan.
Needless to say, nothing has been confirmed by Sony, but I doubt we'll see any teaser or leaks from them considering previous phones. The phone should feature Qualcomm's next-generation Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4 GB of RAM, a 21 MP Sony Exmor RS IMX230 CMOS sensor with 4K video recording support and HDR capabilities. The biggest improvements should be in battery life, since it will pack a 4,500 mAh battery
Sony is also rumoured to be working on the Xperia Z5 Compact and the Xperia Z5 Ultra, which should launch alongside Xperia Z5. |
