As expected, Xiaomi has announced a small price cut for Redmi 2 smartphone in India, but what we didn't expect is it introduced the Redmi 2 Enhanced. The Redmi 2 now costs Rs 5,999 in India or the equivalent of $100, but in Singapore it sells for $149.

The new, Enhanced version is coming soon to Singapore. It has the same design and almost the same specifications. The only differences it features 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, compared to the 1 GB and 16 GB of the standard model. The price tag in Singapore is slightly higher than the standard model, priced at $179.
