Since it was released, the Apple Watch's demand has decreased significantly. A new report from Slice Intelligence shows the Apple Watch's sales in the US dropped a lot in June 2015. Sales had been stable from shortly after the device's release until May but they've since decreased.
This report says sales are generally around 20,000 units per day in the United States and just 10,000 on some days. If the trend continues, sales will be sitting around 5,000 units per day.
Apple is selling its first smartwatch in over a dozen other countries and even with this sales drop, the Apple Watch is doing better than other smartwatches.
Of all the units that have been sold thus far, Slice Intelligence says 66% have been the least expensive Sport model and just 2,000 units of the $10,000 Apple Watch Edition have been sold in the US.
There were reportedly 1 million Watch pre-orders for the device's release and 30,000 sales per day through late May. Apple has sold an estimated 2.8 million units. |
