Samsung is said to be targeting an August launch for the Galaxy Note 5 and a new report claims it will try and launch the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus at the same time. If the phones can launch in August and release in September, Samsung believes they may do better by beating the next iPhones to market.

The latest report about the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus comes from The Korea Herald. Analysts have said this might actually be a bad move because the Galaxy Note 5 could take sales away from the S6 Edge Plus if they are launched and released at the same time.

Samsung has not provided any statement suggesting it will launch these devices in August.

Both the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will reportedly include a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and glass backing. The Exynos 7422 processor may be used on the Galaxy Note 5.
