Microsoft says it will be shipping the Surface Hub later than expected because of high demand. The Hub, which is basically a super-sized Surface tablet, is no longer going to be ready for its September release date. The enterprise market has apparently jumped at the opportunity to have an extra large Surface.
Preorders began for the Hub two weeks ago on July 1. Microsoft is not providing any hard numbers but it has said it must prepare for a "broader scale" of production because of the "early interest" it has seen for the Hub.
The Microsoft Surface Hub costs either $6,999 or $19,999. On the lower end is the 1080p 55-inch version which has an Intel Core i5 processor and on the higher end is the 4K 84-inch version which uses an Intel Core i7.
Both Hub models include 8 GB of RAM, run Windows 10, and include a 128 GB SSD. |
