As rumoured before, Huawei has scheduled an event today where it has officially announced the new Honor 4A smartphone. On a press conference in China, the company has unveiled the new entry-level offering that comes in three variants: one with 3G and two with 4G LTE.

Huawei Honor 4A with 3G will cost CNY 599 ($100, €90), while the 4G LTE versions cost CNY 699 ($110, €100).

All models share the same specs, which includes a 5-inch 720p display, Snapdragon 210 chipset with a quad-core processor clocked at 1.1 GHz and paired with 2 GB of RAM and only 8 GB of storage. There is an 8 MP rear, a 2 MP selfie snapper, dual-SIM functionality and a 2,200 mAh battery. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed with Huawei's Emotion UI 3.1 on top.
