China-based handset vendor Huawei Device, a subsidiary of Huawei Technologies, has reported that it shipped 48.2 million units in the first half of 2015, up 39% on year.

Revenues for the first half totaled US$9.09 billion, increasing 69% from a year earlier.

By category, sales of handsets totaled US$7.23 billion, up 87% on year, while sales of mobile broadband terminal and home-use devices gained 17% to US$1.53 billion, Huawei Device said.

The company aims to ship over 100 million smartphones in 2015.
