To prepare enough Band 2 units for the launch, Microsoft has decided to stop manufacturing the first generation Band fitness tracker. The report says that Microsoft "is halting production of the original Band" so if you want to purchase one, hurry before it runs out of stock.

Microsoft Band 2 is already confirmed to be in the works by the company, but we have yet to find out its specifications, availability and pricing. Some reports suggest it could arrive in the next two months, but nothing is confirmed so stay tuned for new details.
