While we have heard that Huawei will announce Mate 8 on September 2, latest news actually denies that and reveals new details. According to the report, the company will launch a premium version of the Mate 7, which won't be the Mate 8 but Mate 7 Plus.

The report also says that Mate 8 is actually delayed until 2016, as the Kirin 950 chipset won't be available until after October. With this information, a lot of previous rumours are questionable and maybe we talked about Mate 7 Plus all the time, and Mate 8 is still a mystery.
