The Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor may be unveiled next week and we already know what the processor will be like due to some leaked slides. Pan Jiutang, a Chinese analyst, obtained the slides which show the chip uses a new Hydra CPU that is 35% faster than the Snapdragon 810. It also features an Adreno 530 GPU capable of providing 40% better graphics performance.

A "dedicated low-power sensor for emerging always-on use-cases" is included with the Snapdragon 820. The chip offers improved security.
Xiaomi will be the first company to use the processor, according to Jiutang. The Snapdragon 820 should clock in at 3.0 GHz, compared to the 810's 2.0 GHz. |
