One of the biggest, if not the biggest, mobile SoC manufacturer in the world has announced two new chipsets. Both chipsets are aimed at entry-level devices with a quad-core processor, 4G LTE and LTE dual-SIM support with increased clock speeds compared to its predecessors.

The Snapdragon 212 and Snapdragon 412 have only received clock speed increases. The first SoC is clocked at 1.3 GHz per core, while the latter has been increased from 1.2 GHz to 1.4 GHz per core and the memory bandwidth has been increased from 533 MHz to 600 MHz. The first devices with these chipsets will arrive by the end of the year.
