Pegatron Technology has announced consolidated revenues of NT$66.82 billion (US$2.11 billion) for July, down 4.57% on month, but up 3.45% on year with combined consolidated revenues for the first seven months of 2015 reaching NT$559.43 billion, up 12.86% on year. The company also announced consolidated revenues of NT$217.93 billion, net profits of NT$4.66 billion and EPS of NT$1.82 for the second quarter, as well as consolidated revenues of NT$492.19 billion, net profits of NT$10.98 billion and EPS of NT$4.29 for the first half.
For the third quarter, Pegatron expects its notebook shipments to grow 5-10% sequentially, while motherboard and desktop shipments will grow about 5%, and non-PC related products will grow about 20-30%.
To satisfy client demand, Pegatron has been recruiting workers at its plants in China and is also planning to expand capacity at its Kunshan and Suzhou plants.
Some market watchers pointed out that the next-generation iPhone is expected to enter mass production after mid-August. Pegatron is rumored to have acquired about 30-40% of Apple's 4.7-inch iPhone orders with the remaining 60-70% handled by Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry). Foxconn reportedly is the sole supplier of the new 5.5-inch iPhone model. |
