If rumours are true and O2 is the new flagship smartphone, this would also mean that HTC plans to abandon the old "One" naming. The smartphone is also known as the HTC Hero and will also have a completely new design along with very powerful specifications.
Allegedly, the phone will be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC that is expected to have four custom ARM-based Hydra cores, paired with 4 GB of RAM, expandable internal storage, a big 6-inch Quad HD display, a 20.7-megapixel rear, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 3,500 mAh battery.
Everything except for the chipset is nothing that some flagship smartphone don't have now, so HTC needs to have a good pricing and great design to make this smartphone successful, and considering its recent pricing of high-end smartphones, we doubt that will happen. |
