Microsoft will reportedly hold a launch event for a bunch of devices in October. The event will be used to launch the Surface Pro 4, Microsoft Band 2, and new Lumia smartphones. WPDang (China) has detailed the event and other sources have confirmed the event is taking place.

Along with launching some new Lumia phones, the Surface Pro 4, and the Band 2, WPDang says there will be a few surprises at the event. Among those could be a slimmer Xbox One (unlikely) or a Surface Mini.

Two new Lumia handsets, potentially the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, will be at the event.

Based on currently available information, the Surface Pro 4 should be similar to the Pro 3. The same form factor and charging setup will be used. The Pro 4 may have a higher resolution display and a thinner and lighter design.
