Nanya Technology's specialty DRAM chips have been adopted by China's Huawei Technologies and ZTE for their set-top boxes (STBs) specifically for use with Google TV, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.
Nanya has declined to comment on the report, according to a company filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE).
Nanya was quoted in previous reports saying it has begun sampling mobile RAM products in densities ranging from 256Mb-1Gb, with volume production slated for the first quarter of 2011. The company hopes to reduce its dependence on standard DRAM and extend its market beyond PCs.
