Acer has released two new affordable smartphones in the US called Liquid Jade Z and the Acer Liquid Z410. The phones come unlocked price at $229 and $129, respectively. The Liquid Z is already available, while the Liquid Z140 will start shipping in September.

Acer Liquid Jade Z is a mid-range smartphone that is priced well considering its specs. It has a 5-inch display with 720p resolution, a MediaTek MT6732 chipset with a 1.5 GHz quad-core CPU, a 13 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front shooter, and a 2,300 mAh battery. Two versions are available, one with 1 GB of RA and 8 GB of storage and the other with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. The faster version costs $20 more.

The entry-level Acer Liquid Z410 features a 4.5-inch display, a MediaTek MT6732M chipset with a 1.3 GHz quad-core CPU, a 5 MP primary shooter, a 2 MP secondary camera, and a 2,000 mAh battery. The situation is the same with RAM and storage, with two versions available in 1GB/8GB and 2GB/16GB variants. Both smartphones run Android 4.4 KitKat.
