Ahead of IFA 2015 trade show, Samsung officially announces its new smartwatch. The Tizen-powered Gear 2 smartwatch comes in two versions, the standard and the Classic, and is ready to fight with Apple Watch, the upcoming Moto 360 2 and other new smartwatches.

Both wearables have the same 1.2-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels, powered by a dual-core 1.0 GHz processor, 4 GB of memory, and 512 MB of RAM. As for the sensors, it has an accelerometer, gyroscope, heart rate monitor, and a barometer, and also support 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and NFC, but lacks one important, the built-in GPS.
